Here they are, the 9 cousins! Two of the babies are twins, boy and girl, and the baby in the middle is another boy. Soon enough cousin #10 will be here! If you have problems picking out Bronwen, let me know :-)

Sick Days
It has been much too long since my last post, and no, I haven't had the new baby yet. Friday of last week, Bronwen came down with a nasty fever, and was miserable all through the weekend. The fever broke on Monday, but morphed into a head cold. Bronwen has been sneezing and coughing, as have I. The two of us were a bit of a mess for a day or two. Things are much better now, but we're still not quite up to our usual adventures and mishaps. Bronwen is handling things like a trooper! Picture is blurry; apparently I am still functioning below par.Due to feeling poorly, Bronwen has been indulging in some special activities, such as watching her favorite film: "The Muppet Movie."

Introducing Sprout!
I went to my 37-week appointment on Friday, and because my uterus was keeping the baby so well contained (I was "measuring small"), I had to go in for an ultrasound. The good news--the baby is fine; s/he is measuring right on schedule and has plenty of fluid to play around in. The better news--I got some pictures I can share!
So without further ado--introducing Bronwen's brother or sister--Sprout!

A Perfect 10
No one was more surprised at this feat than T.J. and I. We couldn't believe it--neither of us had been working purposely with her on her counting, except up to 4. Then she goes and shows off:
Yay Bronwen! My memory was full at the end, and sadly, you miss her saying, "Fist bump" which is what we do last. Oh well.
We'll be up to 50 next week, I'm sure. :-)
Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! Bronwen manufactured a special holiday curl for the occasion!

Weekend Fun
These pics were taken a couple of weeks ago (March 8th). Just to show you Bronwen as she is enjoying her kitchen. Here she is retrieving something from the sink:
It was a cup, into which she put one of her round blocks.
The round block must be a tasty beverage, as she gives a sip to Jerry. My Bronwen loves to share, and decided Mollie wanted a taste as well! (Mollie really didn't, but she also didn't move)
Randomness:
Giant cat!Me in the kitchen, while the kitchen shenanigans were taking place. I was making cookies, and looking tired.

Towers and Perserverence
I don't know why the lighting is so bad--I had a lamp and the overhead lights on--ugh! Still, you can see well-enough, I suppose. This was yesterday morning.
Thanks to Barbara for bringing the panda back from China. Bronwen loves it :-)

Healthy Glow
T.J. gives Bronwen her bath each night. Little did I know that this is what goes on afterwards. I have noticed T.J.'s skin has been especially soft.
Bronwen certainly understands the importance of moisturizing.

S is for...
Just some typical morning shenanigans at the St. Romain household. Keep in mind Bronwen is still in her P.J.s and has crazy hair, which I think just add to the absurdity of it all.

Saturday Part 2
As I stated in my previous post, we made it to the park a little early for lunch, so while we enjoyed a snack, we didn't get to eat the picnic lunch that we packed. Instead, we headed homeward, promising Bronwen a picnic in the backyard. It was still lovely at 10:45, and for some reason we were all famished. I pulled out a blanket, T.J. turned on the 80's music station, and the purple martins chattered away around us.
Bronwen so enjoyed being outside, she decided to play on her slide/swing combo. She was having such fun on her own that I had to grab the camera. Check out her hair--it is getting so thick! T.J. was pruning in the garden, hence his initial comment.
Yes, that is Olivia Newton John in the background. Oh, and you can hear the purple martins as well.

Saturday in the Park
Today was a full day indeed. We started off by heading downtown to the riverfront. T.J. was kind enough to park the van close to the river--after I explained that I just couldn't walk all over downtown like we would normally do. Granted, he and Bronwen ran ahead because he wanted to show her a freighter making its way down the Mississippi, but I didn't mind lumbering 100 paces behind. Once I caught up to them, Bronwen showed me where the boat had been.
Here we are in front of the Mississippi River bridge. It was extremely windy that day, and despite Bronwen's best efforts to tell the wind, "No!" it didn't seem to listen to her one bit. After the river, we headed over to the Capitol building; there are two lakes behind it and a lovely park. We packed a picnic and some food for the ducks, but we got there kind of early, so lunch wasn't really an option.
T.J. and Bronwen began to feed the multitudes of ducks, and little did I know that the nutria expected to have some food as well. Yes, nutria--aka giant rats. Those are not beavers. The were coming right up to Bronwen and T.J., and I was extremely nervous, having watched The Princess Bride one too many times.
I love this picture--I call it "T.J. and his mini-me"We decided to leave that area because of the aggressive rodents, and Bronwen was thrilled that some of the ducks chose to follow.
Finally, some pictures with her mama!
And just because some people want to know...this is what I look like without a toddler attached to my hip. I am due in about 4 weeks.

Shapes
Bronwen decided to get up early this morning--luckily she is self-entertaining. She pulled out these shape puzzles and was working on them for a good 20 minutes. Just this past weekend she was having trouble getting the triangles turned the right way. Needless to say, she is now a pro at it! I wish it wasn't so dark--I had all the lights on.
She calls the square an "engine" because it is a major component to the train, and I'm sure T.J. told her that the train part was the engine of the train. So there you go--she will never call it a square.

Why Can't I Sleep?
The joys of pregnancy! I feel like the bigger I get the harder it is to sleep. I have this great Snuggle pillow, cozy PJs, and a great mattress, and yet I still have problems slumbering each night.
I just wish I could figure out why:
1. I never feel like I have enough room
2. I can't move once I find a position
3. Why I feel extra weight in certain areas--namely my knees and feet.
If any of you have some insight, please let me know.

Visit With Mimi
Part 1:
We have to wait for Mimi's pictures for Part 2. In the meantime, to whet the appetites of my demanding readers--you know who you are--some pictures from the last week.
Bronwen took to Mimi like a fish to water. This is the first night Mimi arrived, and already Bronwen was asking her to read a story. Bronwen loved the ladybug outfit Mimi brought, and she insisted on wearing the leggings straight away. Mimi also brought her some slippers, and Bronwen has worn them every day since.
Ugh--sorry for the blur, but this is Bronwen lining up her ducks as she's taking a bath. Yes, T.J. has them all named, and Bronwen can tell you who is who.
Once again, Mimi reads to Bronwen. This is a much better activity than watching Wheel of Fortune--a show Mimi seems to enjoy despite the fact she's not under 8 or over 80.
